SSI SCUBA Diver Course – Koh Lipe

Interested in a diving course but short on time? A SCUBA Diving license is less than 2 days away.

The SSI Scuba Diver Course sits halfway between Try Scuba Diving and the full Open Water Course. It gives you a license to dive around the world to a maximum depth of 12 meters under the supervision of a professional instructor. It’s essentially more than half of the Open Water Course, combining theory, confined water skills, and 2 Open Water dives to 12 meters.

Knowledge
The course starts with dive theory — the first 3 chapters of the Open Water Course manual, taking around 3 hours to complete, with a knowledge review and quiz after each chapter.

Dive Skills
Once the theory is done, you’ll move into confined water skills off one of Koh Lipe’s beautiful beaches. There are around 15 dive skills to complete, covering mask skills, buoyancy, and emergency procedures. You’ll need to be able to float in the sea for 10 minutes to complete this course.

The Fun Stuff
Finally, the diving begins — 2 dives to 12 meters at some of Koh Lipe’s best dive sites, where you’ll put your confined-water skills into practice.

Complete Your Theory Before You Arrive
