SSI Advanced Adventurer Course
The SSI Advanced Open Water Course is the exciting next step after your SSI Open Water certification. It gives you the chance to build on the skills you already have while exploring different areas of scuba diving. You’ll get a taste of several SSI Specialties, helping you discover what interests you most while working towards your SSI Advanced Open Water Diver recognition.
The course consists of 5 Adventure Dives, chosen from options including:
- Deep Diving
- Navigation
- Perfect Buoyancy
- Waves, Tides & Currents
- Boat Diving
- Night Diving
- Search & Recovery
- Photo & Video
- Marine Ecology
- Fish Identification
- Coral Identification
Complete Your Theory Before You Arrive
Register through the MySSI app and complete the theory before you arrive on Koh Lipe. This means less time studying during your holiday and more time enjoying the water.
Take Your Training Further
Each Adventure Dive introduces you to a different area of diving. If you discover something you particularly enjoy, you can continue with the full SSI Specialty Course and develop your skills further.
Becoming an SSI Advanced Open Water Diver
SSI Advanced Open Water Diver is a recognition level rather than a separate course. Once you have completed 4 SSI Specialty programs and logged at least 24 dives, you will automatically earn the SSI Advanced Specialty Diver recognition.
Short on Time
You don’t need to complete all 5 Adventure Dives at once. You can complete individual Adventure Dives during your stay and gradually build towards the full Advanced Open Water certification.
Individual Adventure Dive: 2,200 THB per dive

- 200 THB discount per dive for divers using their own BCD, regulator, and wetsuit
