SCUBA Refresher – 1 Dive in Koh Lipe
Been away from diving for a while? Our SCUBA Refresher is designed for certified divers who want to rebuild confidence and refresh essential skills before getting back into regular diving.
The refresher takes place during your dive. First, you’ll spend around 10 minutes practising key scuba skills with your SSI Instructor. After that, you’ll continue with a relaxed guided tour of the dive site.
Refresh Your Skills at the Dive Site
After entering the water, your instructor will take you to a suitable shallow area.
You’ll then practise important skills such as:
- Mask clearing
- Regulator recovery and clearing
- Buoyancy control
- Basic safety procedures
- Comfortable breathing and movement underwater
The skills normally take around 10 minutes. However, your instructor can spend a little longer if you need more time.
Continue With a Guided Dive
Once you finish the skills, the rest of the session becomes a normal guided fun dive.
You’ll explore the coral reef and marine life of Tarutao National Marine Park. At the same time, you can put your refreshed skills back into practice.
Your instructor will stay close throughout the dive. Therefore, you’ll have support while you settle back into comfortable and confident diving.
Small Groups & Personal Attention
We keep our refresher groups small, normally with just 1–2 divers per instructor.
As a result, you’ll receive plenty of personal attention. Your instructor can also focus on any skills you feel unsure about.
Whether it has been one year or ten years since your last dive, there is no need to rush. The goal is simply to help you feel comfortable underwater again.
Get Back Into Diving
The SCUBA Refresher is ideal if you haven’t dived recently or want to practise a few important skills before joining more fun dives.
After the short skills review, you still get to enjoy a proper guided dive around one of Koh Lipe’s dive sites.
