Full SCUBA Skills Update – Beach Session + 2 Dives

Haven’t dived in over two years, or only completed a small number of dives? Our Full SCUBA Skills Update is designed to rebuild your knowledge, comfort and confidence before you return to regular diving.

The program combines a theory and equipment review, a shallow-water beach skills session and 2 guided dives in Tarutao National Marine Park.

Review Your Knowledge & Equipment

First, you’ll go through a full review with an SSI Instructor.

You’ll cover important dive theory, equipment setup and the key safety points you need for a comfortable return to diving.

This gives you time to ask questions and refresh anything you may have forgotten.

Practise Your Skills at the Beach

Next, you’ll head to a shallow and controlled beach location on Koh Lipe.

Here, you can practise essential Open Water skills without worrying about depth or current.

Skills may include:

• Mask clearing
• Regulator recovery and clearing
• Buoyancy control
• Equipment use
• Emergency procedures
• Comfortable breathing and movement underwater

You can complete the skills at your own pace. As a result, you have time to rebuild confidence before heading out to the reef.

Complete 2 Guided Dives

Once you feel comfortable, you’ll join 2 supervised dives in Tarutao National Marine Park.

These dives give you the chance to put your refreshed skills into practice in a real diving environment.

At the same time, you can relax and enjoy Koh Lipe’s coral reefs and marine life.

Small Groups & Personal Attention

We keep our Full SCUBA Skills Update groups small, normally with just 1–2 divers per instructor.

Therefore, you’ll receive plenty of personal attention throughout the theory review, beach session and both dives.

Your instructor can also spend extra time on any skills you feel unsure about.

Who Is This For?

This program is ideal if you:

• Haven’t dived for several years
• Have only completed a few dives
• Feel nervous about returning to diving
• Want a more complete refresher than a standard one-dive update
• Want extra confidence before joining regular fun dives or further training

The Full SCUBA Skills Update gives you more time to rebuild your skills and confidence, while still enjoying 2 proper dives around Koh Lipe.
