At Adang Sea, our team functions more like a family, each of us working together with care and respect for each other, and a real love of what we do! Our friendly Dive Crew have worked in Koh Lipe and Thailand for many years, some with over 15 years experience teaching in South East Asia.
We know the Dive Sites of the Taruatao National Park intimately, which enables us to make your dives more bespoke and enjoyable. All our PADI Divemasters and Instructors are trained, and work to the highest industry standards, ensuring when you dive with us, you really are diving with the best. Our Dry-Crew (the non-divers) are all local to the National Park and Thailand, some having been born on Koh Lipe itself and lived here for over 40 years!
“Unity is strength. When there is team work and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.”
Kris from Newcastle, UK is most commonly found out on the boat guiding guests or in the classroom mentoring future PADI Instructors on their IDC! He originally learned to dive in Australia on the Ningaloo Reef and continued to dive around the world on his travels until settling in Thailand. He is the co-owner of Adang Sea Divers and also of Blue View Divers on Koh Phi Phi. Kris’s passion is most definitely coral propagation and is the lead Instructor teaching our eco-warrior divers and team Ocean Quest Coral Rehabilitation and Propergation.
Clare from London, UK is most commonly found behind the bar in one of our Restaurants or in our Dive Centre. She originally learned to dive in Thailand when she was 15, and loved it so much she came to live and work here after becoming a PADI Instructor! Clare’s also the co-owner of Adang Sea Divers, and although she works mainly on land nowadays, she still loves to hop on the speedboat to teach or fun dive with the team as often as she can. Clare loves underwater photography and enjoys teaching PADI Photo Speciality!
Pi Nok is originally from the small town of Ranong right on the Myanmar border. She is our Thai partner and co-owner of Adang Sea Divers. More importantly however, she is our second mother, our guardian angel and the glue that holds our team together! Based on Phi Phi for the last 20 years she runs a very well established travel agency called Phi Phi Travel Services. As busy as she is, fortunately she manages to divide her time and her busy schedule between Phi Phi and Lipe these days so she gets to visit us quite often, which is wonderful as we would be completely lost without her!
Jo is originally from Myanmar and has lived and worked with the Adang Sea Divers team since we first opened our doors! He takes care of absolutely everything from our tanks, compressor and dive equipment, to the gardens and grounds. Having slowly learnt to dive with us as he worked, Jo is now a proud PADI Divemaster! You can mostly find him organising the tanks or out on the speedboat guiding divers. He is one of a kind, and always flashing his million dollar smile!
Nah, or ‘Super Nah’ as she is affectionately known to us, was born and raised right here on Koh Lipe. She can mostly be found making sure our rooms at both locations are being well taken care of, or at the Dive Centre organising dive and snorkelling meals for our guests and team. As a second mother to all of our team members, Nah can always be relied upon to make us all laugh with her wicked sense of humour. Along with her kind and loving nature, Nah is also a super talented Chef! She trained in a 5 Star Resort when she was younger, and loves to create and serve super tasty veggie and vegan treats at Sunrise Restaurant.
Louise from South Africa can be found at our Tours and Trips desk most days, or out guiding the Eco-Sunset Tour she helped to create! Having worked with the Adang Sea team for over 4 years, Louise is a whizz with graphic design and all things creative! She absolutely loves to dive, currently a PADI Rescue Diver, is slowly working her way to joining the Pro ranks and becoming a Divemaster! In her spare time, Louise is a long-term volunteer for Animal Care Lipe, and does amazing work with helping the dogs and cats here on the island.
Becky from Yorkshire, UK can mostly be found out on the speedboat teaching budding new divers their PADI Open Water Course, or back at the Dive Centre making sure everything is running smoothly! She did her Rescue Course with us here in 2017 and loved it so much she decided to stay and complete her PADI IDC with us too! Now she splits her time between teaching and managing, and likes to express herself through the ever-changing rainbow colours in her hair. In her free time Becky loves to practice yoga, and enjoys morning sun salutations in Sunrise House.
Thet Naing, nicknamed Shyny from Myanmar is our grounds and maintenance manager. You can see his smiling face around the Dive Centre and rooms fixing, cleaning or chatting with our divers.
Max is from Chiang Mai, Thailand and first came to Koh Lipe in 2012 when he began his training as a PADI Divemaster, and continued on to become a PADI OWSI in 2018. You can mostly find him teaching PADI Courses out on the boat, or expertly servicing our Aqualung Equipment. His passion lies in finding and identifying Macro Marine Life, especially Nudibranchs. He can find even the tiniest ones (we are talking magnifying glass-needed tiny), and knows them all by scientific name.
Ris is from Langu, Thailand and began his PADI Open Water training with us here in 2015. He fell in love with the underwater world, and left his corporate career to come and pursue professional diving, gaining his PADI OWSI Status with us here in 2019. Ris can be found out on the Dive Boat most days, teaching PADI Courses, and spreading happiness with his infectious smile. As a talented and passionate photographer, in his spare time you can always find him flying his drone to shoot Koh Lipe and the National park!
Em is from Satun, Thailand and has worked with us since 2019. Mostly her can be found guiding our certified divers each day around the Tarutao National Park. He is a talented and kind dive guide with a keen eye for Underwater Photography and loves to take pictures of the underwater world. Em is also particularly adept at managing to find super rare species whilst diving, including the very camouflaged Frogfish!
Pear, from Bangkok Thailand, has been living and working on Koh Lipe since 2016. After studying Film at University, she came to Koh Lipe on a project with the United Nations and fell in love with the island. Mostly Pear can be found at Sunrise Restaurant, or out on the boat where she is working her way up to completing her PADI Divemaster! She is passionate about environmental awareness and helping to make Koh Lipe a more sustainable and eco-conscious place to be.
At Adang Sea Divers, we are lucky enough to have the best boat captain in the world! (Seriously!). Dang has lived and worked on Koh Lipe all of his life, and grew up learning to drive and maintain boats from a young age. He is the main person who helps to ensure that our Speedboat stays in top nick and is alway clean, safe and fast! Mostly Dang can be found out on our speedboat, but his second favourite spot is to hang out with the Chefs by the kitchen, having a good chat with a cup of coffee and a cookie.
Nee has been with us at Adang Sea Eco-Lodge since 2017 and is the wonderful soul behind making sure your room is so clean and comfortable when you come to stay with us. Originally from Koh Lipe, Nee has lived and worked here all her life. In her free time, she loves to cook for her family and friends, and is well known to be able to lighten anybody’s day with her bright and friendly smile.
Rama, from Koh Lipe originally is the mastermind behind all the yummy vegan and veggie eats at Sunrise Restaurant. She has worked with us since we opened in 2019 and can be found cooking up a storm in the kitchen from morning until night, always with vigour and a beautiful smile. In her free time, Rama enjoys spending time with her 5 children and husband. As she also loves to dance, she is guaranteed the first on the dance floor at any of our parties.
Anne, from South Africa, is the friendly face you can find when you check-in at Eco-Village Sunset, or when you go down to enjoy Sunset at Benny’s On The Beach. She has lived and worked in Thailand for over 5 years, and, luckily for us, moved over here to head up the team at Sunset from our Partner Centre Blue View Divers on Koh Phi Phi in 2019.
