If you are a certified diver,
you may join our daily dive trips from our speedboat. You can do 1-4 dives a day around Koh Lipe, Thailand, guided by one of our experienced divemasters. We love to show our divers a multitude of under-water creatures. Our diving groups consist of a maximum of 4 divers per guide so that everyone can have a relaxed and enjoyable time. If you prefer to dive alone or only with your buddy you have the possibility of requesting a personal diving guide, who will show you the wonders of the Tarutao National Marine Park. Before each dive we will give you a thorough informative dive briefing and after each dive our divemasters will take the time to help you fill in your logbooks and to give explanations regarding marine life spotted during the dive.
We are the only dive centre on Koh Lipe to offer the possibility of diving with enriched air NITROX. In order to dive with enriched air you need to have completed a Nitrox course and show us your Nitrox Diver certificate, or you can do the course with one of our instructors.

If you want to continue your education while on Koh Lipe, we offer numerous diving courses for certified divers: Deep diving, Dive planning and using a Dive computer, NITROX, and Photography, among others.

If you never dived before
but want to give it a try, this is the dive for you, just sign up for our Intro dive.
After only a short briefing you will first do a dive in shallow water where you will learn the proper use of your diving equipment. Once you feel at ease, your dive guide will take you for a dive over the coral reef and show you a great variety of fish. You will be able to swim around freely and experience the fantastic feeling of breathing under water.
It will only take 2 hours to discover the adventure of a lifetime! After this fantastic experience you will surely want to sign up for our Open Water Diver course.

 

Open Water Diver :
You never dived before but you know how to swim and you enjoy being in the water? Don't hesitate any longer! Sign up now for the Open Water Diving course on Koh Lipe.
You only need to be a reasonable swimmer to be able to dive well. You also need to be in good health or have a doctor's certificate stating that you're fit for diving. Please have a look at the medical form, if you can answer "no" to each question you don't need a medical certificate, if you answer a "yes" you have to bring a medical certificate stating that you are physically fit to go diving, in order to start your course.
With the new PADI program of education there are no more long, tiresome, boring theory lessons! Just a few short, enjoyable classroom sessions during which you'll be watching videos.
The course also includes shallow water sessions and 4 open water dives.
Our experienced Instructors will give you the necessary information and guide you through your first diving adventures in a safe and enjoyable manner. They teach in small groups of maximum 4 students so each student receives all the time and attention needed to become a good diver.
In as little as 2 days you can become a certified PADI Scuba Diver which allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12m under the supervision of a certified PADI Divemaster or Instructor.
It takes 4 days to become a PADI or SDI Open Water Diver allowing you to dive to a depth of 18m together with another Open Water Diver.
It is possible to add the Nitrox course to your Open Water Diver course and do the fourth dive of your course with a Nitrox tank.

If you're really stuck for time you can do all the theory online at home before going on your holidays with PADI or SDI eLearning. When you arrive on Lipe you will not need to open a book to study, all you need to do is spend some time in the water with your instructor.

You're a certified diver but haven't dived for a while?
You're not sure you remember it all? Then this is for you!
Refresh your memory by answering some basic theory questions and repeat the most important skills of your Open Water Diver course in shallow water, then relax during a guided tour over the coral reef. There will be a maximum of 2 divers with one Divemaster and you will get all the attention and tips you need to make you feel like you never stopped diving!

Advanced Open Water : (open to any Open Water Diver)
The Advanced course is the most popular of all courses because it allows for additional diving experience in areas that interest you most. This course focuses on actual diving so there are no classroom sessions! Would you like to do a night dive, learn how to recognize different types of fish, improve your buoyancy skills or learn under water photography? Then this course is for you!
This course is available with PADI eLearning.
With Adang Sea Divers on Koh Lipe it is possible to add the Nitrox course to your Advanced course and do all 5 dives with an enriched air tank.

EFR - Emergency First Response Course : (open to all)
This course is useful for divers and non-divers alike since it teaches the necessary skills for emergency care in day to day life, such as CPR, Shock Management and how to prevent being injured yourself while helping others. This certification can be used to meet PADI's requirement of First Aid training for Rescue Diver.

Rescue Course : (open to all Advanced Divers)
Did you ever wonder how you would react in a diving emergency? Stop worrying now and sign up for this extremely rewarding program that will not only teach you how to respond to problems for yourself and your buddy but more important still: How to prevent problems altogether!
You will also learn how to search for a missing diver, how to bring an unconscious diver up to the surface and how to give mouth-to-mouth ventilations once you reach the surface.
After only 3 days of great fun you'll find you have become a lot more aware of other divers and your environment and that you have increased your diving safety tremendously.

Divemaster training : (open to all Rescue Divers)
Take the first step towards becoming a PADI or SDI professional.
Since this is serious business we recommend an extended time to do this course beyond the 2 week course offered by most Dive centers on Koh Lipe. Through internship and working with real divers and students, (not instructors and divemasters playing student!) you'll acquire the necessary skills to act as a responsible Divemaster as well as the knowledge that will enable you to take responsibility for dive planning and control. You will assist instructors during actual courses with real students and guide real divers with real problems under water. This way you will acquire a lot of experience as a Divemaster which will make it a lot easier to find a job after finishing the course.

Speciality courses are open to all certified divers.
We offer a wide range of speciality courses. (Photo, Night, Buoyancy, Deep, Fish Identification, Drift diving, ...), you will find a description of the favorite ones below.
All our speciality courses can be combined with the NITROX course so that you will do all of your speciality course dives with and enriched air tank for only a small additional fee :-)

With 5 speciality courses, you can become a PADI MASTER SCUBA DIVER.

NITROX SPECIALITY COURSE
Take the one day Nitrox speciality course with us on Koh Lipe and discover all the advantages of diving with Enriched Air. You'll never want to dive with normal air again :-) Nitrox will allow you much longer dives and, because there's less Nitrogen in the air you breathe, it becomes much easier to respect the no-decompression limits. On top of that you will feel less tired after your dive.
All you need to do is read the few pages in your book, watch a video and answer the knowledge review questions and you're ready to go diving with Nitrox.

You can do all the theory for this course at home through PADI and SDI eLearning and when you arrive on the island all you need to do is dive.

 

DEEP DIVER and computer diver SPECIALITY COURSE
This is the other most exciting of all speciality courses since you get to go deeper than ever before!
This is a 2 in 1 course, because we feel that deep dives should be done using a diving computer for a minimum of safety.
The course consists of 2 dives during which you will be able to descend to a depth of 40m using a dive computer and who knows, you may even get to experience nitrogen narcosis.
All you need to do is read a few pages in your book, watch a video and answer the knowledge review questions and you're ready to go deep diving around Koh Lipe.
At the end of this course you will be certified as a Deep diver and Computer diver.
This course is available with PADI and SDI eLearning.

 

PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY
We recommend this course as an Adventure Dive (1 dive) to all divers or as a Speciality (2 dives) for photographers. You will improve your buoyancy through the practice of amusing skills. Your instructor will give you some tips on how to improve your air consumption, you will determine the exact number of weights you need to be at ease and you will learn to be absolutely neutrally buoyant under all circumstances. Divers unanimously agree: this course if FUN!

 

 

DIGITAL UNDER WATER PHOTOGRAPHER SPECIALITY COURSE
Under water photography has never been easier. You can bring your own digital underwater camera or borrow ours. Right from the start you'll be able to take amazing photos of the fantastic marine life around Lipe.
The course consists of two dives. After the first dive you will have a chance to look at your photos on a computer screen so you can see in which ways you can improve your photography so that you will be taking even better photos during the second dive. At the end of both dives you can look at your photos again and we will burn them onto a CD so you can take your photos home and show them to your friends.
All you need to do is read a few pages in your book and answer the knowledge review questions and you're ready to go and take photos around Koh Lipe.
This course is available with PADI eLearning.
In order to take good photos you will need perfect buoyancy control. We therefore recommend all photographers to do the Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure dive or Speciality course before starting under water photography.

On request we will organise a private photo course adapted to your needs. This course will teach you greater knowledge of your camera's commands, help you to improve your under water photography and teach you the basics of photo processing using photoshop.
This course does not entitle you to a certificate and there is no book to read. You decide what you want to learn and the number of dives you want to do with your instructor.

Here follows some information which may help you make up your mind:

SDI is a diving organisation which was created about fifteen years ago with a modern approach to diving. During all SDI courses you will be wearing a dive computer and you will learn how to use it. Importance is given foremost to in-water practice, you will spend less time in the classroom. Because we are a certified SDI dive centre you have the possibility of doing all the course theory and exams online, at home, so that when you arrive on Lipe all you have to do is dive. Please contact us for further details.
You don't need to possess your own diving manual in order to do an SDI course, we will lend you the book for the duration of the course. At the end of the course you can buy the manual if you want it. It is available in English, German or Italian.

PADI was one of the first organisations to offer recreational diving and is therefore the best known. PADI courses allow you to learn effortlessly through the use of videos and knowledge reviews as well as ample in-water practice. A dive computer is not included in the course but you can rent one if you want to. When you do a PADI course with Adang Sea Divers on Koh Lipe, you will receive a dive manual at the start of the course in the language you desire and it is yours to keep.
You can do the theory and exams at home, online, before coming to the island, so that you can go diving immediately when you get here. Please contact us for further details.

PADI & SDI both offer courses of identical quality. The certificate you receive at the end of your course is recognized by both organisations. This means you can mix and match courses from both organisations. For example you can do an Advanced SDI course if you have a PADI Open Water Diver certificate.

We hope to never have a diving accident and do everything we can to ensure our diver's safety. However, as we all know, zero risk doesn't exist. This is why we recommend all our future students to check with their insurance company whether diving is covered. If not, we recommend you take a travel insurance which covers scuba diving.
We also recommend all certified divers to take a diving insurance. For more information check out DAN's website.
Annual membership is reasonably priced and DAN is an extremely efficient and trustworthy organisation.

Our all-inclusive prices are in Thaï Baht. Instructional materials and the use of diving equipment is included for the duration of the course. With PADI courses you have to have your own manual, you will receive it at the start of the course and will be able to keep it at the end. For SDI courses we will lend you a book for the duration of the course. You can buy the manual at the end of the course if you want to.
